
| Leigha Cohen was born and raised in NYC. In 1983, she moved to the Trenton/Lawrenceville vicinity where she presently lives. Leigha accumulates degrees like others collect fine wine. She has a way of setting her mind to something and taking it to the next level. Her education includes a BS in Electrical Engineering, BA in Sociology, and a Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education. In the early 1970s Leigha studied photography at Queens College and The New School followed by one year in the MFA program at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In the late 1970s she taught preschool and worked as a resource teacher at the Lexington School for the Deaf. For many years she tutored college level mathematics and physics. |

| In 2011, Leigha was introduced to the Princeton Community Television. Soon afterwards she started to volunteer her time helping out in their studios. She also became involved working on making a documentary on water pollution with several other people and assisted other filmmakers as well as both shooting video and also digital stills. Soon afterwards, Leigha purchased a professional video camera. She also started to learn video editing using Adobe Premiere CS5.5. Most recently Leigha is reconnecting to her political activism by shooting and producing videos, many with political overtones. Leigha feels strongly about protecting the environment with her recent work including Anti-Fracking Rally Septemeber 24, 2011 and public demonstration at the recent Delaware River Basin Commission "DRBC" meeting in West Trenton on September 24 and Anti-Fracking September 7th., 2011 Rally in Philadelphia . Leigha has also recently become a member of the Shaleshock Action Alliance which is a movement that works toward protecting our communities and environment from exploitative gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale region.
